Casa Kura Kura is the heart and home of Amanecer Retreats.
After many years of hosting wellness retreats throughout Baja California Sur, I felt called to create a sanctuary of my own — a space intentionally designed for healing, rest, creativity, and deep reconnection. Casa Kura Kura is the culmination of that vision and the new home for Amanecer retreats.
This land and this way of gathering are a natural evolution of the Amanecer philosophy: slow down, soften, listen, and allow space for what truly wants to emerge. Here, guests experience mindful, restorative practices that nurture body, mind, and spirit.
The Space & Land
Located on the East Cape of Baja California Sur, Casa Kura Kura is an off-grid, eco-luxury retreat where desert landscapes meet the sea. Life here unfolds at a gentler pace, guided by natural rhythms, expansive skies, and breathtaking ocean and mountain views.
The property features:
Heated saltwater pool
Sauna with Himalayan salt lamp feature
Lush gardens with fruit trees, vegetable beds, and herbal and medicinal plants
Outdoor shower wrapped in passion fruit and morning glory vines
Fire pit and outdoor spaces for yoga, movement, and reflection
Many aspects of Casa Kura Kura are newly built, with the main house thoughtfully renovated to balance comfort, beauty, and connection to the land. This off-grid wellness sanctuary invites guests to immerse themselves in nature, reconnect with the elements, and experience deep relaxation and restoration.
